A wonderful green manure, it’s long taproot lifts minerals and trace elements from deep down in the soil up to the soil surface. As well as being a nitrogen fixer, once the taproot has been cut in late winter, the plant dies down and leaves behind an extensive roots system to increase the soils organic matter.

Red clover grass is a perennial forage legume. It establishes and produces quickly but its poor persistence limits the lifespan to 2-3 years. It has a prostrate, stoloniferous growth habit. It is very palatable, nutritious and highly digestible.
